Description
Opposing steep terminations highlight this impressive large double terminated quartz from the famous Ron Coleman mine in Arkansas. The striking gem crystal is mostly water clear with very little inner haze in most crystals, with more at one end. A high vitreous luster highlights the subtle faces of the step-growth prism. Some crystal faces are transparent, while others are slightly frosted, which adds interest. A few sidecar crystals attached, at 5.0cm (double ended) add more character. Complete all around and in good condition. One ending is immaculate, the other having two barely noticeable bruises (mostly on the back). A touch on one side, where another crystal once was, is out of sight from the side of the main screen. A great classic old gem double ended Arkansas Quartz with striking steep endings. 814 grams.
